In September, the Ridgefield School District and the Ridgefield Classified Association (the union representing the district’s classified staff) finalized a new Collective Bargaining Agreement covering the next three years.
One of the key changes to the contract is that effective immediately, the Early Learning Center will now be following the same early release and late start schedules as the district’s elementary schools (click here to access the district’s Academic Calendar for the 2023-24 school year with these key dates listed).
This means that on Wednesdays, the ELC will now be on a 1-hour late start schedule, and will have Early Release Days (releasing students at 12:35 p.m.) on the following dates:

Friday, November 17, 2023
Monday, November 20, 2023
Tuesday, November 21, 2023
Thursday, March 7, 2024
Tuesday, June 4, 2024
Please note that the district did not bill families for the School-Age Aftercare Program on these early release days, so no account adjustments will be necessary. For families with preschool students, you will receive a tuition credit for this month on your next billing statement to adjust for these schedule changes.
