Brittany Goff, Director of Early Learning

The Ridgefield School District is pleased to announce the hiring of Brittany Goff as its newest administrator. Goff will serve as the Director of Early Learning and replaces Erika Muir who has accepted a Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) position effective at the conclusion of the 2021-2022 school year.

Goff is currently the Dean of Students and an administrative intern at Evergreen High School in the Evergreen Public Schools district where she has worked since 2018. In her role as dean, Goff created and led a school-wide intervention system; planned and led school-wide professional development on classroom management, attendance, and behavioral interventions; and organized and conducted parent meetings to create individualized success plans for students.

Before becoming an administrator, Goff started out as a high school teacher and basketball coach at Sandy High School in Sandy, OR where she taught from 2008-2010. Her next teaching stop led her to Union High School where she taught English and social studies from 2010-2018. While at Union HS, Goff again coached girls basketball, leading her teams to two district championships and three state appearances.

“We are so pleased to have an educator of Brittany’s caliber joining us to lead our Early Learning Center” said Dr. Nathan McCann, Ridgefield School District Superintendent. “We are proud to provide the Ridgefield community with quality early learning opportunities that set students up for a lifetime of success, and Brittany’s skills and experience are an excellent match for this essential program.”

“I am honored and excited to be joining the team at Ridgefield School District,” Goff said. “I greatly look forward to working with Ridgefield’s youngest learners and helping them develop emotional and social intelligence and academic skills that they’ll be using for the duration of their time in Ridgefield schools and beyond.”

Goff has Bachelor's degrees in History and English from Wittenberg University in Springfield, OH and a Master’s in Teaching from the University of Portland. Additionally, she just finished the coursework for her Administrative Certificate from Washington State University-Vancouver in May and expects her certification to be complete in June 2022.
